The author writes about the work of Leizarraga as translator of "The New Testament". Leizarraga uses french sources more than latin when translating. The article gathers works and translations of different authors (Th. Beza, Dodgson, etc) to try to explain the similarities in the translation of expresions in different languages. He also analyses the conclusions obtained by Dodgson in his work on the verbal forms used by Leizarraga and he compares the syntactic use of some basque expresions used by Leizarraga, Axular y Gazteluzar that could have had influence on the dialect from Gipuzkoa
