Territorial cohesion and democratic participation
Eusko Ikaskuntza proposes two main lines of action to strengthen the territorial cohesion of the Basque Country: on the one hand, to promote cross-border territorial debate by creating instruments and channels of cooperation to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century; and, on the other, to promote balanced territorial development through new stories and specific policies. All of this will be based on processes of joint construction, deliberation and active participation between citizens and social partners, with the aim of promoting more inclusive, sustainable, cohesive and democratic territorial development.
A holistic approach to well-being
Eusko Ikaskuntza’s new line of work is focused on developing a socio-economic model based on community collaboration, social justice, and sustainability. To this end, the organization aims to foster a space for dialogue and cooperation among local communities, civil society organizations, and economic stakeholders, in order to jointly create innovative solutions tailored to the reality and values of Basque society. Drawing on its intellectual and social trajectory, Eusko Ikaskuntza aspires to lead a strategic project that connects economy, culture, wellbeing, and sustainability through a socio-economic collaboration platform focused on key challenges for the comprehensive wellbeing of Euskal Herria.
