Summary

The main challenges of current society: those derived from the entrance into the society of information and the ones related with ecological uncertainties, they recommend moulding mankind´s various accomplishments to them. Buildings, together with the urban planning included therein, will have to respond to variables related with sustainability and the model of town of knowledge. A new conception of building and new urban planning is therefore necessary.
