The language part, product and condition of culture. On the other hand, civilization is the culmination of a sufficiently complex culture. Those who share a civilization tend to share a similar scale of values. A living language operates in its environment and those who use it adapt it to their needs. The Basque language possesses an abundant lexicon which is reference to the rural world, but it is not a urban language, and it therefore recurs to loans and code-switching to cover its blanks
