Summary
The main aim of this paper is to vindicate the potential of provincial and municipal archives. In order to do so, we will analyse the possibilities of study that they offer us for the historiographical line of charity. We will see how they are the cornerstone on which the historian must work if we want to broaden our knowledge of the subject.
