Summary
An introduction is made of 41 documents conserved in the Municipal Historical Archive of Hernani. These documents date back to 1379, which is the date of the oldest, and 1527, the first register of the alcabala tax payers. Also included are documents on the actions of the towns of Hernani and Donostia-San Sebastian carried out, together with the industrial oligarchy, belonging to the Oñacino party led by the Alcega lineage and the Bishop of Pamplona, to control the Urumea Valley, a space of considerable agricultural and industrial possibilities.
