Summary

Basque historiographic production on the 1808-1876 period has been some of the most noteworthy work in the last twenty years. It has experienced a renewal of the working methodologies with the incorporation of the proposals of the New History and it has opened to new thematic areas (the collective imaginary and identities, daily life...), although there are still important blank spaces to be covered.
