Summary
This volume collects the transcription of 96 documents preserved in the Municipal Archives of the town of Elgueta, covering a chronological period that goes from 1181 to 1520. Most of the mentioned documents correspond to the historical trajectory of the town, after its foundation in the Campos de Maya (Maya fields) by Alfonso XI in 1335. Nevertheless, it also includes documents of considerable interest for Gipuzkoa and the neighbouring provinces of Alava and Biskaia.
