The aim of this article is, on the one hand, to do an analytic study of existing bibliography on the conquest and incorporation of Navarra, basically following the different historiographic currents that can be distinguished in the course of the last 40 years. The second part analyses the methodological premises: geopolitical situation (fundamentally Italy), the effect of the struggle between dynasties, the role of Fernando "the Catholic" and the Popes at the time and the resoluteness of the conservation of the law and institutions.
