El conflicto contra y entre vascos: la Guerra Civil en la narrativa vasca

The dual nature of the 1936 conflict in the Basque Country, as a war the left and the right and as a national war, complicates its legacy. The present paper analyses how Basque narrative represented the war in such a way that questions a unifying Basque cause and the usefulness of the war as the foundation of Basque identity.
