The author analyzes literature in Spanish written by Basque citizens from 1939 to 1984. A chronological list of authors and titles is provided. The work of some authors is analyzed and mention is made to some of the cultural activities that were carried out by the magazine Kurpil-Kantil in the field of literature in the seventies, when issue nº 10 was confiscated by the authorities
