Eusko Ikaskuntza-Ville de Bayonne Prize of Honour
Terms and conditions
The intention behind the Eusko Ikaskuntza-Ville de Bayonne Prize of Honour is to honour people who have been outstanding models in favour of Basque culture or science in Iparralde because of their deeds or works.
CANDIDATURES
People who are responsible for associations or groups that have worked in favour of Basque culture or science in Iparralde.
JURY
The jury is composed of two members of Eusko Ikaskuntza in Iparralde, two representatives of the Municipality of the Town of Bayonne, the Chairperson of Eusko Ikaskuntza in Iparralde, the Mayor of the Town of Bayonne.
Any member of the jury may propose candidates for the Prize of Honour who have not spontaneously presented their nomination.
Jury voting is by secret ballot. Prizewinners must have obtained at least four votes in their favour. If necessary, the jury may decide not to award the prize.
PRESENTATION OF APPLICATIONS
Cadidates’ curricula vitae are to be attached to the nominations in a duly filled-in form provided for that purpose.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE WINNER
The winner has the commitment to send Eusko Ikaskuntza, before the award of the prize, an article with an extension 25-30 pages, on his/her main scientific contributions.
These prizes cannot be awarded under any circumstances to any member of the Town Council of Bayonne nor to any member of the Board of Eusko Ikaskuntza.
