The author distinguishes between songs, which are sometimes symmetrical, and sometimes asymmetrical ; and dance music, with or without songs, which is much more symmetrical. He examines the air of a melody by Charles Bordes, some Lapp and others Finnish, although one of the most interesting is a castilian song which the author compares with the "zortzikos".
