Summary

In my paper, I will expound the childhood and work of the singer Mikel Laboa to reflect about certain ideas and concepts. I will resort to two ideas by Marc Augé: on the one hand, the need of oblivion to forge memory and keep curiosity alive, I will use an example to develop the three figures of oblivion ; on the other, the idea that tales build our lives. Both individual and collective chronicles are needed to create universal tales. Finally, I will reflect on tributes and death, and link both concepts with the memory and the selection of memories
