Summary

Based on her memories, Maritxu explains and demonstrates her own development, her own experience of various public and private spaces in San Sebastian, the capital of Gipuzkoa, between 1930 and 1936. This experience sees the emergence of the gender issue, the position of the middle classes and also the national identity and relationship with "the others", the emigrants, who settle in the district of Amara, with the informant availing herself of all these elements to develop her own identities.
