Summary

The authors reveal the first results of the archaeological diggings carried out in the subsoil of house nº 3 in Embeltrán Street in Donostia - San Sebastián. The terrain belonged during the late Middle Ages to the lineage of the Engómez, who were the noblest and one of the main families in town. The importance of this intervention is based on the record of an undisturbed stratigraphic sequence since the medieval era and on abundant archaeological material.
