Summary
This Guide of documentary sources is a useful reference guide, and a pioneer in its field as there is no other similar reference on the Civil War in terms of its wide thematic range and its geographical extension. Its contents cover, both in book and DVD format, the files from 328 Basque, Spanish, European and American archives, the complete list of Basque press published 1936 and 1939, the basic data from around a hundred audiovisual documentaries, both old and new, and a wide selection of oral sources complete with lists of witnesses, an extensive bibliography of around one thousand titles together with a detailed chronology. Under the direction of José Luis de la Granja and Santiago de Pablo, Professors of Contemporary History of the University of the Basque Country, this work was carried out by a team of six authors and 28 collaborators from various European and American countries.
