Summary

Research on religiosity among the immigrant population of Moroccan origin in Extremadura. It is therefore a population whose religiosity of origin (Moroccan Islam) already has some particular characteristics within Islam, as well as cultural (coming from rural territories quite homogeneous and backward) and who also settle in a region characterized by low levels of urbanization and an economic, social and cultural development below the Spanish average. The investigation the influence of the media, in globalized times, as a double-edged sword. A factor of consolidation and threat to collective identity in an environment culturally alien to the majority culture.
