Summary

Luchaire considers that the lapsing of the "n" is one of the five phonetic characters that relate the Basque language with the Romance language that is spoken in territories of the old Aquitaine. He studies the etymology of "egu (n)" and the evolution of "n" to "l" that is proven and it is through "r". He gives numerous examples
