Summary

In 1928 the International Catholic Organisation for Cinema and Audiovisual (OCIC) was founded in the Netherlands. The Spanish Catholic Action organisation took part from the very beginning, originally recognising Franco´s own policies within the organisation´s politics. However the OCIC´s implication in international festivals such as San Sebastian from 1957 onwards and Vatican II changed the relationship between the Spanish Church and the OCIC to a great extent.
