Summary
This work aims to present the symbology used by the Basque-American communities of Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Havana to identify visually the Basque identity, by the means of a coat of arms and a national flag. In order to achieve this purpose, Basque-Americans used the so-called "flag of Euskal Erria" released on 1881, that remained almost unknown in the Basque Country, but was widely used among Basque emigrants in the Americas.Sing up and download the publications of Eusko Ikaskuntza
