Summary
The Cost of Agriculture in the Basque Country approaches the problem of the processes of "desagriculturisation" and their consequences. As a novelty, direct economic effects, as well as those induced by both the real and hypothetical setback of the agricultural and forestry activities, are evaluated. Likewise, the environmental services and the importance of the natural resources accumulated around the agricultural and forestry production activity and the rural environment are also assessed. The study is completed by the analysis of the dynamics within the population-territory relationship.
